Description
This was the first time that Heidelberg 204 ran on these tracks on its own power. The Heidelberg system runs with 600 volts in the wire and -150 volts in the rail, while the Mannheim and Ludwigshafen systems run at 750 volts in the wire. With the addition of one electrical converter of some kind, the tram can now run in both systems.

Nice pic. So are you saying that one of the systems has, a positive overhead wire and a "negative rail" or something like that?
Kind of reminds me of the London Underground system (third rail at +440 volts, fourth rail at -220 volts)
