Across the Neckar Valley

Near the end of Kamui's parents' visit, we did the unthinkable...we took them around our home town! That, of course, led us to Heidelberg castle, and my favourite picture from the visit is this one. The hill in the background is on the right bank of the Neckar as viewed from the castle gardens on the left bank. The castle is halfway up the slopes of Königsstuhl mountain, so the view from the balustrade is spectacular. This view, however, shows how peaceful the garden is when walking through it despite the close proximity of the bustling city below.
