The red and white sleeping car in the background is part of the City Night Line (CNL) overnight service that Deutsche Bahn runs between Venice and Munich. If it weren't so bloody expensive, we would have taken that train home instead of a Lufthansa flight from Verona to Frankfurt.

I wonder who is hauling these DB trains in Italy at the moment. It seems to be a different company every day. Last I heard was Arenaways, but they went bankrupt of course.
