Early Electric Heavy Hauler

First built in 1932, the class E44 motor marks the beginning of heavy haul locomotives on Germany's infant electrified rail network. So successful was this class, they returned to production after the war and continued to be built sporadically until 1952. They were only withdrawn from service in the early 1980s. I especially like the British Racing Green color.
