Zwinger Tram

Since all the Zwinger's windows face into the garden, the exterior walls of the palatial museum present a solid barrier to the person on the street. Here, one of Dresden's new trams glides by the south entrance to the Zwinger as it prepares to disgorge passengers at the Semper Oper stop. Note that there is no moat on this side of the building...only a sandstone wall.
